Here in North Yorkshire set in the beautiful surrounding of Hutton-le-Hole, in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

Introduction to Ceramics.
Aimed at giving you the chance to try it for yourself.

  • Kilns Types
  • Clay Types
  • Design
  • Putting your new skills into practise.


On the course you will learn

1/2 Day Taster course:- This will give you the opportunity to try Hand building and to produce a piece of work which we will happily fire for you and post.

1 Day Course:- This will give you more opportunity to try your hand at both hand building and also throwing on a kick wheel. You will also have the opportunity to look at the different types of firing techniques available, and the relationship between firing techniques and glazes.

Half day course £50
Full day course £95

The cost of the course will include the materials used, the cost of firing and postage for small items. and refreshments. A light lunch will be provided on the full day course.

The course will run from
Half day 10am -12.30 or 1.30pm 4pm
Full day 10am - 4pm or if you prefer the course can be split into half days, morning or afternoons.

Course can be tailored to meet a students specific requirements.
