Pottery Course

surrounding of
Hutton-le-Hole, in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
Introduction to Ceramics.
Aimed at giving you the chance to try it for yourself.
All courses run one to one
2 by arrangement with yourself.
Course Contents:-
- Workshop Safety
- Basic Tool Requirements
- Kilns Types
- Clay Types
- Design
- Putting your new skills into practise.
On the Pottery course you will learn
1/2 Day Taster course:- This will give you the
opportunity to try Hand building and to produce a piece of work which we will happily
fire for you and post.
1 Day Course:- This will give you more opportunity to try your
hand at both hand building and also throwing on a kick wheel. You will also have
the opportunity to look at the different types of firing techniques available, and
the relationship between firing techniques and glazes.
The cost of the course will
include the materials used, the cost of firing and postage for small items. and refreshments.
A light lunch will be provided on the full day course.
The course will run from
Half
day 10am -12.30 or 1.30pm 4pm
Full day 10am - 4pm or if you prefer the course can
be split into half days, morning or afternoons.
Course can be tailored to meet a students
specific requirements.
